Site: 2700 SQ.Ft

Built up area: 2400 Sq.Ft

The brief was to design and build a spacious looking home for a family of five and two dogs in a small plot located in a densely packed residential colony.

The ground floor plan is an open plan with the drawing, living, dining and kitchen spaces flowing one into the other while the first floor is equipped with three bedrooms. A double height ceiling encompasses half the ground and first floor areas to achieve a dramatic scale, accommodate a staircase and allow plenty of natural light. Hollow terracotta fired bricks have been used for all peripheral walls to achieve better thermal conductivity to maintain ambient temperatures inside the house. A 200 Sq.Ft semi open terrace on the first floor with pergolas doubles up as a terrace garden & as a play area for the dogs!
