COLOUR OXIDE WALL FRESCO

It is a labour intensive process and has to be done by expert masons to achieve a flawless finish. Desired colour oxide powder mixed with water and cement to form a workable slurry like paste is applied directly onto wet freshly plastered wall with a trowel. The fresco template (in this case, a real leaf) is pressed onto this surface and another layer of a different desired colour oxide paste is applied till the fresco template is covered completely, followed by careful removal of the template. Spinkling of water throughout the first day post application is a must followed by good curing for a couple of days. A good coat of white wax is applied once dry to achieve a polished shiny finish.
